IEEP Board announces changes in the internal management of the organisation

After six years managing the Institute for European Environmental Policy, Céline Charveriat is stepping down as Executive Director. Céline has successfully transformed IEEP into an impact-driven think tank which produces strategic knowledge for positive change.

Following the announcement, the IEEP Board acknowledges the extraordinary contribution of Céline in leading the organisation.

Hans Wolters, Chair of the Board said: “On behalf of the Board of IEEP, I want to thank Céline for all her good work in those years. We wish her well for the next steps in her career.”

Everyone at IEEP wishes Céline the best of luck as she moves on to the next chapter in her life, and look forward to working together in the future.

Céline Charveriat said: “After six years of an amazing journey at IEEP, during which I saw the organisation through Brexit and COVID, I decided it is time for me to take on new challenges. I am proud of having transformed IEEP into an impact-led think tank which produces strategic knowledge for positive change. By putting the needs for people, well-being and social justice at the centre of the green transition and addressing spill over effects of Europe’s development model, in line with SDGs, IEEP’s programme has gone from strength to strength. By engaging diverse stakeholders through Think2030 and bridging the divide between Brussels and Member States through Think Sustainable Europe, IEEP contributes decisively to the creation of the European Green Deal and to its implementation.”

Ben Allen, IEEP current Research Director will step in as Interim Executive Director until a new Executive Director is appointed.
