History of IEEP
IEEP has a rich and illustrious history stretching back over 50 years. It has been present in several European countries over that time focusing largely on European environmental policy but always with an eye to the wider world too.
The UK’s exit from the EU gave rise to the decision to establish an independent, not-for-profit entity based in Brussels with similar objectives to that of IEEP UK based in London. As a result, there are now two legal entities which make up the IEEP family: IEEP UK and IEEP AISBL. The latter is based in Brussels and a Cooperation Agreement governs the relationship between the legal entities.
Ben Reynolds is appointed Executive Director of IEEP UK
Eero Yrjö-Koskinen becomes IEEP EU Executive Director
Kaley Hart is appointed Executive Director of IEEP UK
Ben Allen is appointed as IEEP EU Interim Executive Director
Brussels office established as IEEP head office.
Céline Charveriat was appointed as Executive Director.

David Baldock appointed as Executive Director
Nigel Haigh, establishes the London office, later becoming IEEP director
The first director, Konrad von Moltke, opened offices in Paris; he is succeeded by Ernst von Weizsaecker
IEEP was founded in Bonn, Germany, by the European Cultural Foundation.
