Last Thursday, 9 November 2023, IEEP UK held its first Autumn Reception. This served as an opportunity to pay tribute to Nigel Haigh OBE, former director of IEEP UK, who shared his thoughts on UK-EU environmental policy past, present and future, and the historic role IEEP has played in shaping many of the landmark pieces of environmental legislation throughout the continent. The event was also an opportunity to share IEEP UK’s new Strategy 2023-27, an ambitious new work programme looking to new opportunities for collaboration between the UK and EU on environmental and climate policies, as IEEP UK moves into a new phase of the organisation. and to introduce our new Executive Director, Ben Reynolds.
