WP3 D10a – In addition to policy instruments, potential mitigation measures for reducing GHG emissions in agricultural production systems can be either technical or management-based, or are a combination of the two. This study had two principal aims. The first was to select potential, feasible and cost-effective technical and management-based GHG mitigation measures for modelling at the whole farm level with a focus on dairy production and on bull and pig fattening farming systems. The second objective was to define and specify the selected mitigation measures and to describe in detail the emission factors/equations used and the estimated abatement costs that are needed for the cost-benefit analysis of the individual measures.
