Preparatory work for developing the guidance on the maintenance of landscape connectivity – report on the review of measures to promote connectivity

This review examines practices in place at the Community level and in Member States that support the establishment of ecological networks and enhancement of ecological coherence and connectivity within ecosystems/landscapes. The review forms a part of a broader study (ENV.B.2/ETU/2006/0042R) aiming to provide the European Commission with scientific advice on how to guide the Member States in implementing connectivity and coherence related provisions of the Habitats and Birds directives.
