The UK Government’s 2008 Climate Change Act was the first of its kind in setting out a comprehensive mitigation and adaption plan to bring net emissions of targeted greenhouse gases to zero by 2050. Implementing those plans will be a challenge for the UK government.
IEEP UK has carried out a range of activities to examine the impact and effectiveness of the UK’s climate change policy (such as the role of bioenergy, transport strategy, energy conservation and the challenge of adaptation) as well as interactions with its international partners. Below is a selection of the work carried out.
