This briefing was undertaken to inform the Joint Parliamentary Meeting on Climate Change between EU National Parliaments and the European Parliament about legislation and initiatives of EU Member States and EEA countries in the field of climate change. The meeting took place on 1-2 October. The briefing is one in a series of briefings produced for the European Parliament under a framework contract led by IEEP.
